Dengue in HoniaraCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Solomon Islands
Looks like the outbreak of Dengue fever is not over: http://pidp.org/pireport/2013/April/04-05-14.htm Does anyone have first-hand knowledge of the situation in and around Honiara?

Thanks Ozzie; as you can imagine, even less is known about what goes on in the SP out here than in your area of the woods. There was only one minor mention of the 'tensions', never any detail or follow-up. I have to get my news on-line or from Al Zajeera (they occasionally cover the going-on in WP). | 2
Good grief, my response to this is being moderated/censored ... and there were no bad words, insults or any other sign of misbehaviour! | 3
Aha, it did get posted .... the mind boggles!! It's #2. | 4
Maybe Al Jazeera is the problem? Today's Radio Australia indicates they are treating cases in Honiara, not anywhere else. No mention of Temotu or earthquakes or tsunamis. | 5
I thought AJ might have been the problem, but it's been accepted in every other post I've made using the name (2 or 3), in the moderated threads. I wonder what will happen when this site becomes U.S. based .... | 6
My inclusion of aj was posted straight away. | 7
Hmmm, they are after me :-)) PIR reports that the number of confirmed reported cases of dengue fever has reached 2,226, 90% of which are in Honiara. | 8
Latest update on dengue from Honiara: | 9
Thanks Ozzie - I forgot to post the newest PIR report, which says the same thing. | 10
