Dive Gizo / Dive Munda and Tetepare

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Solomon Islands

Hey All,

I'm looking to go to the Solomon Islands later in the year and think I'll do my PADI course as I'm a bit of a WW2 nut and diving amongst the wrecks seems to good to turn down! Has anyone got any advice or dived with dive gizo or dive munda? Is one better than the other or are there better sites at gzo vs munda and vice versa. Any help of guidance would be appreciated.

I'd also like to visit Tetepare. I have visited their website and sent an email but had no response. Does anyone know if it is still open to the public?

Thanks,

Keith

Hi Keith,
Im currently in Gizo, I've dived here and is really incredible, you can dive shipwrecks and planes of wwII also with manta rays, coral reefs, sharks, and many more! Kerry and Danny Kennedy have a diveshop named divegizo (www.divegizo.com) thats really good and make open water courses and advanced very professionally and are in charge of solomon travel portal ( www.solomonislands-hotels.travel) , they are really friendly.
I dont know much about the other places, but if you come here and talk or ask info to Danny or kerry they can sort things out for you. Dont miss the chance of diving here, its really breathtaking and if you like surfing there is a really good surf spot. I will stay until end of June, so if you come just send me an e-mail. pantojaedu@gmail.com
Cheers!
