Iron Bottom Sound Hotel, Honiara

Does anyone have any info on this hotel or stayed there recently. We are going to Honiara in September and would like to stay here as it is on the beach and overlooks Iron Bottom Sound but cannot find any reviews on any of the websites. Their website has no links to book and no email address. Very mysterious. Thanks

It is owned by Asians (Japanese, I think). None of the beaches in Hniara proper are worth it for swimming (too polluted) so this would not necessarily be a recommendation. I ate at the restaurant years ago. The rooms are motel-style, and I hope they have been refurbished, as the place was virtually ababdoned during the tension years (2000 - 2003).

PS have you checked Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau website?
