We have booked accomodation in Malaita for next week.
We still do not know how we can get there from main island.

Any information would be extremly welcome.
Ship, of any kind, when...?

Are flights going there...?

hey Erik...not sure if the airstrip at Auki has opened again or not (was this time of the year in 2012 when I was there and the flights were not going...but I heard maybe they had started again...??).
The MV boat goes from Honiara to Auki...don't know how many days a week but should be easy to buy a ticket the day before at their office in Honiara...

P.S. go to the Info Centre in Honiara when you arrive and the helpful staff there can give you all info about boats, etc.

I got some very good news just now - that the fast ferry 360 is running again!
I also learned just now that the airport is still closed.

But, who needs a plane when there is a hydrofoil doing the job?
