Marau Sound on Guadalcanal

Hi - Anyone ever hear of a hotel called Tawa'ihi Resort on Marau Sound? Can you please let me know about it if you do? Thanks!!

This is the only mention I can find of it (scroll down to 5. Marau) For some reason the link to Guadalcanal accommodation is not working on the Visit Solomons website.
I have heard that relatives of a friend of mine have a resort in the area, but have not been there.

Thank you so much for replying. Yes it is so strange that there is no other information on it! I really want to go to Marau Sound for a few days before heading over to Sanbis but want a medium budget place to stay and it sounds like it would fit the bill.

Thank you all for replying! We have decided to skip Marau Sound....we will be staying at Sanbis Resort on Mbabanga Island off Ghizo for the first two weeks of November. We are really looking forward to it!!

Hi, yes there is a small Resort called Tawaihi but i have not heard from it since. It use to be owned by a Mr Prichard and his wife. However, at Marau Sound too their is the upclass Tavanipupu Private Island. It is a beautiful resort with spa etc etc... We spent a weekend their and it is the best time of our lives-( my husband and two kids).. it is the perfect place in the world- your own private world in pristine untouched paradise.....Marau is one of the most beautiful sites on Guadalcanal with beautiful white sandy beaches and turquoise clear waters teeming with marine life........\
