Mavo Lodge

We are headed to Mavo Lodge for a week - can anyone tell me any info on the place - there are very few photos or details about what is there, what we should take with us and any other helpful hints and ideas to make it a good holiday? Any info or feedback appreciated.

Trip Advisor is not very helpful on Solomon Islands generally.

This appears to be their website - the title is a bit sensationalist, for a Western Province resort!
Some of the information about flights on their website (especially international ones) is a bit outdated. Be careful, as flights to both Ramata and Seghe can be cancelled without notice. However, the resorts are aware of this, and if you have been in direct contact with them, they will find an alternative arrangement, although it could be expensive, as it means travel by outboard to an all-weather airport, and fuel is expensive.

Thanks - I had seen that website....a bit bizarre considering Mavo Lodge is a fishing camp and not a kayaking camp so not sure what the connection is?

I have joined the Solomon Islands forum and will see if I can get any info from that one.

You probably won't get much attention on Trip Advisor - they haven't really caught up with Solomon Islands yet.
I tried to post a review of a guest house in Tulagi, and they kept giving me an error message saying they couldn't find Central Province. Maybe you could post a review and pictures of Mavo after you've been there.
