I wanted to pay with my Amex card, but could only do it if I paid in US dollars, even though I am in Australia. They will only accept Mastercard or Visa for bookings in Australian dollars. (I wonder what exchange fees I will be up for, since my Amex card was issued in Australia?)
I checked the exchange rates - the 2 fares were within $2 of each other.
