Snorkeling house reefs and inexpensive guest houses?

We are going back to Solomon Islands after loving Munda and Tetepare on our last trip 8 years ago. Got a local canoe and went out snorkeling on our own every day in nearby house reefs. Sometimes the local captain would take us around in his motorboat. We love the people and culture.

We'd love recommendations of similar places with culture and easy-to-get-to snorkeling in some of the other islands and provinces.

We know petrol is expensive and won't have time to take the slow boat, so prefer to plant ourselves in one or two excellent guest houses and stay there a while, hopefully snorkeling every day.
