uepi island weather

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Solomon Islands

Has anyone experienced reasonably good weather conditions for this part of the solomons for mid April or should I hold off and take the family during September school holidays. Any advice would be appreciated.

both times should be good. Uepi is out of the cyclone belt, so going in April is not a problem. Most days at Uepi start with blue skies and sunshine, and some days, cloud rolls in after lunch or in the late afternoon. A heavy downpour soon clears the skies again.....Uepi gets about 3 meters of rain a year, spread pretty evenly across the months.

Mid year is generally a bit cooler at Uepi, because of the trade winds, but they may have stopped by late September.

If you are planning on going in school holidays in 2012, may I suggest you check availability asap, as the resort gets booked out well in advance.

We are regular Uepi visitors, so let me know if you need any more advice
