Hello, I will be in Tahiti for 4 nights, flying to Bora Bora for 2, then back to Tahiti for 3 more nights. Is Air Tahiti the only inter-island airline? If so, what is the best way to book with them? Any tips or suggestions on flights? p.s. What is the drinking age in Tahiti?
As far as I know Air Tahiti is the only inter-island airline in FP. We booked directly with them on their website and picked up our tickets at their office in the airport at Papeete. If I recall rightly, they are a bit slow at answering e-mails but are efficient. The only tip I would give you is to limit your time in Tahiti and spend it on Bora Bora if you can. Can't help you with the drinking age. | 1
unless you are heading to FP in in July or August do not buy tickets in advance, Its cheaper to book them and pay for them once you are there. Air Thaiti is a sole operator | 2
I agree. If you are in downtown Papeete you can walk to the Air Tahiti office. They have many flights per day. | 3
you are righ there is also the AIR MOOREA i forgot. buying a pass is good value if you plan to fly more than twice. I wound up regreting i didn purchase one. | 4
Not sure what the legal drinking age is, but I've seen kids that look about 16 or 17 in bars and they seem to get served. Especially true on the outer islands. | 5
Only way to get to BB is Airpass, or an infrequent Ferry. | 6
to ejpiii: you mean: the only way to get to BB is a plane (or infrequent ferry), right? | 7
It is possible to get to Bora Bora without an airpass, just purchasing a single ticket. I saw the option listed | 8
to azraf: yes its possible | 9
