| canayjun00:38 UTC15 Dec 2008 | Just returned from a two week freighter trip on the Aranui3 to the Marquesas, with a brief stop in Papeete.. if you are interested in reading trip reports, check out Older Travellers or pm me for the address of my travel blog, or 'search' for the reports under my handle, here on the LP.... Aside from a rather serious falling accident at the beginning of the trip (needed 38 stitchesin my calf), it went well, and was an amazing experience...I had to return home early to deal with medical problems that ensued, but must say that emergency services in Papeete were excellent and the injury barely impacted my enjoyment of the trip..
