Best area to stay in Moorea

Looking at AirBnBs to spend a week in Moorea. Which area of the island is best? Temae, Cooks Bay, Opunoho Bay, Hauru Point, or Haapiti? We are looking for that beautiful calm blue green water. We plan to rent a scooter (or maybe a car). Diving, snorkeling, hiking, kayaking, relaxing are the main activities. Any and all suggestions are welcome! We will be there end of March beginning of April. Thanks in advance!

I stayed a few years back at Hauru Point and really liked it. Nice sunsets and a few cafes and a small supermarket nearby. I stayed at budget Camping Chez Nelson ....not sure if it is still there...but the area was nice. went over on the ferry and got a bus to place of accommodation.

Did you end up going to Moorea and what was it like? I'm also looking for a place to stay and am looking for the blue green water you mentioned along with wide expanse of sandy beaches.
