Best view in Bora Bora

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Tahiti & French Polynesia

Hi there,
I'll likely be heading to BB for my honeymoon sometime this year but was curious as to where the best view was on BB.
Ideally I'd love to stay in an overwater bungalow while in BB, but want a great view of the water, mountain, sunset, etc., if at all possible from one location! I realize the expensive places like Four Seasons and St. Regis are located on the eastern strip of BB. Do these places offer great views of the main island and its mountains and lagoons? Or is it better to stay in a bungalow on the main island looking towards the Bay, a lagoon, or the eastern strip? If so, which side of the island would you recommend staying on?

This is just one of many questions I have so far but I'll leave it at this for now. ;)

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

The best view is definately from the motu. You see the beautiful multi-colored water with the iconic B.ora B.ora mountains behind it. I had to settle just for a lagoon view from the main island and that too was lovely because the waters of B.ora B.ora are unbelievable.

For answers to more questions I would suggest heading over to the Tripadvisor F.rench P.olynesia forum or the T.ahiti Explorer forum.

Thanks for the tip! I see there's a lot of info. on that site. I'll try exploring there as well.

Cheers!

On a motu. The Sofitel has gorgeous views from overwater bungalows. Bora Bora is pretty small so the view is hard to miss ;)

The views were wonderful from the St. Regis. Mind you, if you want a view from your overwater villa (they're all overwater villas), it will cost you a pretty penny. Otherwise, it's hard to miss the beautiful sights when you're outdoors.
