Climate - Marquesas and Australs

Hello - Trying to plan a trip to the Marquesas and Australs (nearly 2 weeks total) and wondering what the best time of year is for less clouds and rain, more sun. I looked at the monthly rain averages and they appear to say October is the least rainy month. Is it usually sunny in July like in the Society islands or is October also nice? I would especially prefer dry weather on the Marquesas as I've heard road and hiking tracks can be a muddy mess in rain.

Just wondering if others have any "on the ground" information as climate information for these island groups is limited.
