HELP - urgently need camping alternative Huahine

Good morning,

We're arriving in Huahine Sept 2nd and wanted to stay at Hiva Plage. They yesterday sent us an email cancelling saying they need to do some urgent work on the campsite or so (unclear English). So we're without accommodation days from our arrival in high season! :(

Any ideas? We're on a very low budget, wanted to camp at Hiva Plage originally. Chez Guynette is fully booked and we can't find any other affordable place. Aotea Campin is so remote and the reviews are bad in terms of extra prices for everything. No shared kitchen either and meals are 30€/p!

We already emailed all kinds of guesthouses asking if we can camp there, but no luck so far. Airbnb cheapest option is 80€+ and no Couchsurfing hosts..

Has anyone tried just showing up and asking around? Wild camping near Fare an option?
