Moorea Beaches and Day Passes

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on going to Moorea in a month or so and wanted to know what the beaches are like in Moorea. To be honest, from photos, it doesn't look that great (compared to say St. Maarten), but I'm hoping someone here will prove me wrong.

Also, does anyone know the cost of getting a day pass at the resorts and if it's at all still possible?

Its the water, not the beaches in particular. Most of the coast in Moorea is privately owned. There is one public beach. However, there are modestly priced inns on the beach. You can walk right in and swim and snorkle in the lagoon.
