Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Tahiti & French Polynesia

Hello to all.
Is it very difficult to find a job in French Polynesia?does the french polynesia belongs to france as european union so me as a european union citizen can I go there and look for a job?I am spanish and would like to move to french polynesia. Can I go there only with passport and stay there as I am european union citizen beacuse is from france polynesia?is it very expensive life in polynesia?same like in europe?
And what about Reunion islands in the indic ocean also from france?
Best regards

Not positive, but I doubt you can get a work visa too easily in Fr. Polynesia just because you are in the Eur. Union. Even Fr. citizens have a tough time.

French Polynesia is not part of the EU so you have no advantage from that. And as unemployment is very high I doubt very much that they would allow you to take one of those few jobs away from them ... As #1 states it is quite difficult even for French citizens to settle.
