Need Help: 2 Island Combo that isn't Moorea + Bora BoraCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Tahiti & French Polynesia
Heya, So... last May, my mother and I visited FP - we spend 2 days in Papeete, 5 in Moorea and 5 in Bora Bora. We loved every part of it (except for the plane ride home where Air Tahiti Nui didn't give me a pillow). In the morning we would do some activity (ex: Moorea Langoonarium, some snorkel tour, pearl shopping etc etc) and in the afternoon we swam/relaxed to our hearts content. I should mention... Moorea's water was COLD!! Bora Bora's weather/water temps were perfect. This time, my brother will be joining (which can be a problem... time-wise). I really want to go back! At least I'm really hoping to... we'll see. But... I want do to 2 DIFFERENT islands - I guess I need some recommendations here because of transportation issues/interests. Typically Moorea and Bora Bora are easily accessible by planes and travel agents (used Custom Tahiti previously) work very well with these locations/accommodations. I'm having a hard time finding any 2 combo island recommendations that aren't Moorea and Bora Bora. This time - like last time, I would LOVE to be at a location were we can swim in the afternoon (OMG an OWA would be sooo nice... but I understand that may not be feasible). My family would love to snorkel (either on-site or through a boat tour) and I really want to Scuba!!!! (I have advanced open water with 41 dives - so I'm not a super experienced diver - I should mention that). We are typically activity oriented. Would be great if we can pearl shop at a pearl farm. So here's the problem... my brother only gets 9 days off (2 days for flights) - which in my opinion seems hardly enough... any thoughts? I'm thinking if we do this... perhaps my mother and I can spend longer (maybe 5 days per island) and my brother... well does whatever. Time frame: Either first 2 weeks of may... or the last two weeks of June Would appreciate any thoughts/advice!! PS. Feel free to privately message me!
Hi! I would definetly include Maupiti in your trip, it has all you are looking for. You can snorkle, dive, kayak, do some tekking... you can see pics from our trip And more info here if you are interested: And you could combine it with Huahine or Raiatea/Taha’a maybe? | 1
