Place to stay in Papeete

Hello.
We are a Family on 5 from Norway, who is going to spend about 10 days in Papeete in june/july.
Does anyone have any recommendations on Places to stay?
Doesent have to be any luxury, but a Nice cabin ore apartement.
the kids are at the age 10, 11 and 13.

You could have a look at Relais Fenua - it is about 7or 8 miles outside Papeete, within walking distance of 2 nice beaches. They offer a family room(up to 5 people) with bunk beds, a kitchenette, have a small pool, near a bus stop (a supermarket is not far away) and the manager offers great service. It is not a very large place, fairly basic, but for the cost it is great value for Tahiti. Have a look at their website for more information. You can also check out reviews on tripadvisor. Not sure what your plans are but 10 days on Tahiti might be a bit long - you might consider taking the boat over to Moorea for a few days - it has a more laid back vibe.
