Tahiti for a few days only, Moorea Island?

Hi
I will be in Tahiti for just a few days, 3 whole days.
I am thinking of getting out of papeete (will need to stay one night when flying in at midnight) to maybe Moorea.
Can anyone recommend where to stay that is clean and safe in Papeete for one night then on Moorea,
Would you recommend Moorea. Is there a good backpackers, yha there?
Is it easy to get to the ferry in Papeete?

Chez Nelson Camping is your best bet on Moorea. You can have the cheaper share room....2 per room, or get your own room. Easy to get there on the bus from the ferry. Teamo Hostel in Papeete is basic but clean. Easy walking distance to the ferry as the hostel is just a few blocks up behind the market. The wharf is seaward of the market. Take mosquito repellant as no screens on the windows.
