Visa question for a trip to French Polynesia & New Caledonia

Hello,
I know I do not need a visa coming from the USA But...

Can someone confirm that the visa-free 90 days given in French Polynesia are separate from the 90 day period given for New Caledonia?
I am planning a trip to both and I want to make sure they don't share the same days.
Are they on different 90 day timelines?

They are separate territories with their separate immigration procedures so you get a new entry stamp and permitted period of stay in both.
