What to do after/before Papeete flights

We are scheduled into Papeete at 5:00 and have until 1500(3:00PM) until boarding ship. Also, we arrive back to Papeete at 0800 and our departure flight is at 2355 (11:55pm). Any suggestions for activities and or day room hotels?
