Where to know more about tattoo?

Does anyone knows tattoo artist/place in Moorea (French Polynesia) where I could find more about tattoo history, principles and etc. (I don't want to make any tattoo, just curious to know more about it). As well such person/place could be in Tahiti :) Thank you :)

You could try and contact the museum, they might know something.

You will probably have to specialize as every island group in Polynesia have their own symbols and traditions.

There are also some books but I don't remember where I saw them. Probably somewhere in Papeete.
