Flights in Tonga -Recent Updates

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Tonga

Hi,

I'd like pepople with recent experience in flying in Tonga to give me some advice. I am scheduled to a flight back from Vava'u and 2hours later going to Fiji. Do you tihink that's too short ? The only otipn I have is to come back from Vava'u one day ahead and sleep in Tongatapu. That would be my last option, for many reasons, but if you say there are a lot of delays, Catham Airways is not reliable in timetables or stuff like this, than I prefer to be back one day before. could you advise me?

Thanks a lot!

Chatam is said to be much more reliable than the clowns who were flying that route before and went broke.

Book for the short turnover and if the whole situation looks dodgy try and bail out early.

On Tongatapu you can arranged to be picked up and stay @ Fua'amotu Transit Lounge a B&B near the airport instead of staying near Nukulofa which is @ the other end of the island an expensive cab ride away.
