Does anybody know the best and cheapest way to leave Tonga to new Guinea?

I think Virgin Blue flies Tonga to Austr. From there you hop over to PNG. Possible to go via Fiji etc etc, but may end up costing more with these shorter flights on different airlines.

Air Niugini has a new twice-weekly service from Nadi (Fiji) to Port Moresby using 757 aircraft.
