Otuhaka Beach Resort

Has anyone stayed at this resort? How's the snorkelling/accommodation/food? Any other recommendations for bungalows w/ private bath nice location (beach and snorkelling) and good food on Tongatapu? Not really into Fafa foofoo style or price.

We stayed there for a weekend 2 yrs ago - I thought the the room was a bit grotty and the food greasy - but the location is lovely. There's been quite a few complaints about it and/or it's owner - I think at one stage TVB removed it from their list of accommodations. We just got back from our second visit - and met a couple who had just stayed there and thought it was okay. There's a new resort which just opened on 10 Oct - called White Sands - not far from Otuhaka - I think the beach there is even more beautiful and the rooms are very nice. It would definitely be worth checking out. I really like Hatafu beach resort - but that only has shared amenity blocks. also you could check out the Blue Banana studios that are also nearby. Good luck
