1) I've been trying to get in contact with Port Wine Guest House, but can´t.. does anyone have an operating email from them?

2) Also, any suggestions of budget/good accomodation near by?

3) In your opinion, What's the best Diving operator? Professional with infra-estructure?

Email is a poor way to try and contact operations like Port Wine lots of things can go wrong along the way-try phoning them direct they are lovely people.

Apart from that make a ressie @ Backpackers for one night and contact Port Wine upon arrival.

You could try phoning a place like Backpackers and seeing if they have the new number-depending on who's working they might give it to you.

Or contact the webmaster @ www.vavau.to and see if they have new info.

you should book Portwine in advance. They only have four rooms and are pretty popular with backpackers in Vava'u. Their email is portwine_guesthouse@yahoo.com. The phone number is +676 70749 or 70243. Ask for Tai or Maryanne, they speak very good English.
If you end up going there, please say hi to them from Sabine and Brian from Ha'apai.

Also, researching here I saw that Dolphin Divers atre based in a hotel. /puatakanave/ it seems... does anyone know if it´s worth staying there? Surfing on the net I found a site saying they offered budget room. Is that right?

hey guys, thanks a lot for all the tips and insights! Preparing a trip alone from Brasil is not so easy!!!! Specially because of the hours, I have to wait the whole day for an answer! It's unbelieavable!!! This world is so huge, it will take 2 days travelling to get there! :-) But I am going so happy!!! Can't wait!

I think that family you´re talking about is on Foa Island. If you make it to the neighbouring main island Lifuka, then let us know. Would be nice to meet you and maybe show you around a bit on a few more islands.

I just would like to share in the forum that I reached Port Wine with the number given by Sabine and Brian, which is the +676 70243. The other number kept ringing in someone's house... they were not too happy :-) Maybe it was the Skype conection...
