Staying in Vava'u in AugustCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Tonga
I'm heading out to Tonga in August this year. I'm thinking of taking a flight from Hong kong as I have heard you can get some good deals from there. Thanks in advance
From Hong Kong to where first? Where are you now? Transiting Australia or New Guinea might be a better choice. | 1
I think I will be somewhere in Asia in July. On the lonely planet website it says that there are Bargains to be had going to Tonga from Hong Kong. I dont really want to go to OZ or NZ as I hasve been there before and though I have travelled in SEA extensivley there is always somewhere new to visit but I can use HK as a base. | 2
"On the lonely planet website it says that there are Bargains to be had going to Tonga from Hong Kong." If that was true there would be all kinds of visitors from Asia in Tonga-but there aren't. IOW LP is FOFS as per SOP. | 3
It's like pulling teeth. OP, WHERE in Asia? How can we help if we don't have the info. International flights into Fua'amotu are Fiji, Samoa, Sydney, and New Zealand. You'll be transitting one of those. | 4
Well I have given you the info! I will be diving in Asia but using Hong Kong ( Via Air Asia) as my gateway to Tonga. Hong Kong or Bangkok are the biggest hubs in Asia so Naturally I use one of the as the gateway. | 5
Dont think so Harry, infact saying something is like "pulling teeth" could and would probably considered rude by most. | 6
#3 is correct in every way. | 7
