| tessha_m14:13 UTC01 Feb 2007 | I want to go to tonga in august to swim wit the whales.
I know i can fly or get a ferry to vavu'a...
I would rather geta ferry as im scared of flying and prefer not to fly when possible.
It also seems cheaper to get ferrys.
I would rather add on 2 eatra days to allow for travel time and go by ferry than fly, espcially if its cheaper to get the ferry.
Can anyone convince me why its a bad idea to get the ferry? or support my plans...?
any link to a website with ferry bookings or timetabels or prices?
THANX!

| amaile14:33 UTC01 Feb 2007 | Hi Tessha m
Here is a link to the ferry:
Tonga Ferry "Olovaha"
I personally would fly. Reasons?
1) I usually do not have enough time 2) I don't get sea sick, but I don't like to be with people who get sea sick when on a boat/ferry 3) It's rather chilly to travel on ferry in August 4) I like looking down at beautiful scenary from an airplane, especially scattered islands and atolls 5) I can be on boat almost everyday while I'm in Vava'u, enjoy beautiful Vava'u 6) I would rather wait for the new 'Olovaha' (expected to be donated to Tonga in a year or so from Japan) to take my next long-distance ferry ride (I usually take ferry to 'Eua, instead of flying)
