Well I asked enough questions so here are my answers.
Vava'u
Whale watching between $250 -300 TOP
Pleasant cheap accommodation $50 TOP & Port Wine - Very nice but basic.
Meals $15-$30 TOP but more like $30 for a decent feed.
Best to buy at the supermarket which is not exactly cheap and cook yourself. Much better value.
$3TOP = 1GBP
Lovely place, so glad I came.

Port wine is amazing! I stayed there last year and they treat you like family. Very special! Glad that you enjoyed it too!!
