| traineediplomat17:22 UTC02 Jun 2007 | Tonga plays the Junior All Blacks next weekend (Sat 9th June) at Teufaiva Stadium, Nuku'alofa. My contact in TRFU says it's on at 1330 and tickets can be prebought at ANZ, OSB and presumably the TRFU.
Last major match there, the Tau'uta Reds from Tonga vs Upolu Samoa from Samoa in the Pacific Rugby Cup final, saw only one ticket seller/entrance gate. The young lads milling around outside pulled open other entrances and a large number of people then streamed in without paying!!!! Ahhh that's why we love Tonga.
So if you are in Tonga, I recommend heading to this match....I also recommend paying for the Stadium tickets. But it will be interesting to see what kind of security they have on this time!!!!

As of today, 4th June, nobody is selling tickets yet. We don't know which TRFU to go to get the tickets! And even if we get any ticket, we won't be sure if the ticket will be accepted at the gate, either!

I really feel sorry for the players, though.

| amaile07:01 UTC03 Jun 2007 | I just secured the tickets from OSB. I hope these will be accepted at the gate. The ticket says the kick-off will be at 1:00 pm.
Sadly enough, many Tongans are saying that they want to go see the Tongan team demolished, resulting in cricket scores. I will be wearing RED T-shirt to support our boys, though (besides, I'm not mourning so I don't have to wear black).

| traineediplomat17:17 UTC09 Jun 2007 | The result was 39-13. The Tongans were in front 13-10 at halftime. But the usual lack of fitness/match practice/talent hurt the Tongans in the end.
But a great match atmosphere!!!!!
