Hi..

heading to Tonga for just over a week and will probably stay on Tongatapu..
anyone got any advice on good things to do or good places to go/stay, a real nice corner of the island for swimming and snorkelling, and where accomodation is not too pricey..
or would it be a good idea to go to another island not too far from Tongatapu?

anyone who's there at the minute, what's the weather like?!

thanks.

Yes...You can head over here.

Nerima Lodge gets a good wrap.

You can buy a good map for a few dollars in town (Friendship cafe or the bookshop over the road), or you can get a good map at the Tourist Centre near the Dateline Hotel.

Fafa is great but well pricey.

At 'Apifo'ou college's hall, Chinese acrobat/circus is performing from tonight, until Monday 11th June.

Starting from 13th until 21st, Free Weslyan Church is holding their annual church conference in Nuku'alofa. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and supper are prepared by their members and families. Super big feasts you don't want to miss. On top of the feast, there will be a lot of traditional dancing, gift presentations, and choir nights. Weslyan Conference is a must.

Since last night, it seems like summer has returned. But a week ago, it was a bit chilly. Not as wet as before, though.

Buffet lunch at Lunarossa is wonderful, for only T$20.00 per person. National Center's cultural show and buffet dinner (T$25.00) on Tuesdays and Thursdays (7:30 pm). For the National Center show, call 23022 for booking. Transfers can be arranged for T$5.00.

True.

Someone say hello to Marco for me, please (tell him Jon, not Harry)

Tonga :-) Lucky you - I went there last year, just befor the king dies.

Beuatiful place.

We stayed at Selas Guest house I Nukualufa, budget price but not that nice or clean.
If you have the time you should go to the Island Eua, the boat trip can be rather rough, but you can go by plane. Nice place to stay is the Hideaway Resort. You should stay for a few days.

Another Island - nice for a 1 day trip - is the Pangaimotu, nice little island you can walk around, swim, snorkle, there is an old ship wreck too.

The weather was ok - around 20 degrees C, but sometimes it rains and can rain all day.
