Trouble booking accomodation...is it ok just to turn up?

I seem to be having trouble booking accomodation on Va'vau, is anyone else? Is it ok just to turn up?

I stayed at the Puataukanave (puashotel@tonfon.to / puashotel@kalianetvav.to) a year ago, a huge (and empty...) place with nice views over the bay in Neiafu. They confirmed my reservation within 24 hours, but did not pick me up at the airport. There always being a couple of taxis at the airport waiting for incoming flights, however, you should have no problems getting into town.

It depends when you are going and what else is on in Vava'u but I would reccommend you book to be on safe side. What sort of accommodation are you after? I would reccommend looking at Hilltop, Mystic Sands and Tongan Beach Resort.
