3 nights in Tahiti....

so my boyfriend and I have 3 full nights in Tahiti (because of the crazy flight times!). Looking for somewhere which is therefore easy to get to from the airport and nice. Its a Xmas present to us so we dont want to stay in a hostel type accom, but somewhere a bit nicer, but im aware tahiti is pretty expensive anyway, so looking at the $100 - 150 per night range, any suggestions? thanks

You didn't specify what currency, US, austr, NZ dollar, etc. But even at US dollar prices, you won't get much in Papeete. Check out the Mandarin, it's just a basic hotel, but has air-con and is centrally located. There are a couple of others, i think one is Tiare Tahiti, forget the exact name, it's on the waterfront on the west end of Papeete. Maybe Silvanocat or others have some more ideas.
