4 nights with 14 staff from Sydney- ? Fiji, New Caledonia

HI there,
I am sending 14 of my staff as a celebration to the Sth Pacific- we only can afford to close the business for 4 or 5 nights- looking for recommendations:
? New Caledonia
? Fiji
? other ideas

I went to a travel agent who said Denarau in Fiji would be best- we want 4-5 star, nice pool, chance to swim/surf, definitely snorkel.
My staff range from early 20's to mid 40's.

I hope I can get some tips- I am unsure if Denarau looks that nice to be honest and so am looking for some answers!!

Lots of 4 & 5 star hotels at Denarau in Fiji, and a nice golf course and nothing much else!
I would not swim in the water and there is certainly no snorkelling.

Take a local cruise in the Yasawa Islands, Fiji. Brilliant and probably cheaper too, especially if you can negotiate a rate close to ''local prices''.

Lay on a new pristine beach every day, first rate snorkelling, good food.....
Then again, we are biased, we have done several since we have been here.

Could I suggest New Caledonia, only 2.5 hours from Sydney. They offer some great Hotels including the new Royal Tera Hotel and Spa.
There is some great snorkelling options, take a boat out to one of the outer islands or to the second largest reef in the world. If your staff choose, there is great nightlife, with many bars, cafes, restaurants and nightclubs and even 2 casinos.
