5 day trip - Tonga

Hi everyone,

My mum and I are planning a trip to Tonga from july 19th to 24th and have a few questions.

I want to go diving, swimming with whales, meet the locals and enjoy the sun.

My mum wants to meet the locals, (maybe) go on a whale safari, snorkel and enjoy the sun.

Since our time is very limited we are thinking that we might focus on the main island and perhaps one of the small islands close by. What do you think? Any suggestions on an itinerary? And any recommendations on local sights, islands and so on?
