accomodation on aitutaki

looking for accomodation for trip in september - has anyone got info on samade on the beach,ranginui's,inano or aitutaki lagoon resort & spa?

Samade rates are NZ$225/300 for single/double. Ranginui's rates are NZ$110/120 for single/double. Aitutaki Lagoon Resort starts at NZ$335 for garden view on up to NZ$760 for lagoon view units. Inano is NZ$130 for single/double.

I really prefer the other side of the island, Paradise Cove, Sunny Beach, Tom's etc. are quite a bit less expensive and have less of a mosquito problem. Check out [http://www.ck/] for more info.

I have issues with the Aitutaki folks, and can't recommend them. Constantly changing staff is just one of them. the others are good though.

Mosquitos can be a problem depending on winds and conditions. Certain times of the year, after rains that sort of thing. The other side of the island has less shallow stagnant water, therefore less of a problem.

About 5x more mozzies on Aitutaki than on Rarotonga, in general. The inland areas of Aitutaki are the worst. Definitely bring insect repellent, and bring or buy (Vonnia's on Rarotonga) a mozzie net for your bed if you are at a lower-end place without insect screens on the windows, etc.
