alternative for Matamanoa Island Resort

hello everyone who knows:
Matamanoa Island Resort is closed until mid February.
is there a good second location? Matamanoa Island Resort is very recommended in this forum.
we'd love to get some inside info about other great locations.
who will share from experience?

Was at Matamanoa the week before they closed and it was supposed to be for only one month. Maybe they have extended it but there are reports on Tripadvisor from two groups who says they stayed there in December.
It sounds like the Garden rooms are closed but some bure's available.
We are trying Malolo in Feb but good alternatives we have stayed at are Vomo, Castaway and Navini in that order. Have stayed at most of the Mamanuca resorts.
What are your requirements, we like good snorkeling with a reasonable quality of service.
