| Kubasaki02:50 UTC06 May 2016 | Hey fellow travelers,
I am taking my 9 year old son to American Samoa and would be interested in staying the National Park Services homestay program, but have heard it is very expensive. I can't seem to find out the cost per person from an Internet search and I have tried for a while. Anyone have any insight as to the cost? I know it varies, but would love some input and if someone has first hand experience, I would love to know with what family you stayed. Thanks

https://www.nps.gov/npsa/learn/historyculture/homestay.htm https://www.nps.gov/npsa/learn/historyculture/homestay-hosts.htm https://www.nps.gov/npsa/learn/historyculture/homestay-details.htm The National Park Service states that it provides information on the hosts but it is the responsibility of the visitor to make all arrangements. There are links for attachments with more information and contacts for the hosts. Here is a link for Samoa tourism info: http://www.samoa.travel/accommodation/ and one particular homestay: http://www.samoa.travel/accommodation-site/etelines-homestay# also: http://www.samoavillagestays.com/ and a post on a very personal experience there: http://switchbackkids.com/10-unique-experiences-with-the-national-park-of-american-samoa-homestay/ Best wishes for a great trip!
