Avoid Samosas?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

For my next trip to the SP should I avoid places that sell Samosas?

Of course there are enough Indians in Fiji that I should be safe but what about actual Melanesians/Polynesians/Micronesians making savoury pastries-can they be trusted?

As to Ocker and Kiwi imitations let's no go there!!

I'm not sure if they were actually samosas, but my friend in Lata, Santa Cruz, Solomon Islands, sold the most delicious savoury pastries in one of the local shops. I stayed with her for a week, waiting for a plane, and never got sick once. Delicious.

I feel like there is a hidden message here that I am not getting. Why would you avoid samosas? Or is it samosas makers you are avoid? Or is this a veiled reference for something else entirely?

"is this a veiled reference for something else entirely? "

Indeed........

Some wonder if they should avoid Samoa, others wonder if they should avoid Samosas.

sigh. But have the samosas recently been cooked inside out? Or upside down? It makes a difference you know.

And besides that- some people need to get a sense of humor.

I think the OP wants to raise the important issue of Indian hegemony in the South Pacific ;-) He should be aware that we are all eating Chinese food here by now and smoke Cuban cigars.
