Beach holiday

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

I am after some recommendations on a beach holiday for me and my partner for 7 to 10 days.

Any information on countries, places, hotels, flights, prices, websites, etc, etc.

All suggestions welcome!

Thanks!!!

Refer to Lonely Planet's South Pacific guidebook.

Thanks, I have read several of the Lonely Planet guides... but they all sound so wonderful I was after some more personal advice from well travelled Lonely Planeters,

We are complete strangers to you , and as such have no idea of your age, budget, likes , dislikes, mobility, etc etc etc . If you have specific queries or let us know more about yourself, we will then be more able to provide "personal advice"

4

The other thing is, many of the regular posters here are familiar with one, or a few countries only, so are all likel to recommend our own preferences.

@ekshore...All good advice above....

Before you can get meaningful advice you need to establish what your expectations are and the type of experience you are seeking.

Visitors to this forum range from party-seeking, pub-crawling social animals to crowd-avoiding solitude seekers. They want everything from $25/day meal and lodging plans to first class resorts and cruises costing $3,000 a day. They range from the carbon footprint-conscious types to gas-guzzling no-holds-barred rip-up-the-landscape four-wheeler thrill-seekers.

And you are.....__________ ________ (fill in the blanks)

Ok, thanks!

The holiday I am after is a Beach holiday for myself and my partner. Not party goers, after more of a relaxing, quiet holiday.

I have never done much of the quiet holiday - so I guess that doesn't help :-P

Would like to stick to a budget, but happy to play with budget based on destination.

If that helps, thanks - if not, never mind!!!!

Thanks in advance!

If you're budget conscious Fiji might be the place for you. It has the beaches and is the least expensive of most SP destinations.
