Best time to travel to the Pacific area????

I want to sponsor a cruise for my mom to the Pacific but I have not idea what time of year is the most ideal for a cruise to this area OR which cruise line to take.
Any advise????

You will probably be best travellingbetween April and October when the weather is cooler and less humid(the islands are in the tropics) and there is less chance of cyclones.
I am not able to recommend a cruise line, however, as I have never travelled the Pacific by cruise ship. (I generally prefer to go somewhere and stay for a while, or live there).

The usual cruiselines travel in the South Pacific. If you are flying in via Los Angeles, I would recommend cruises starting in Tahiti. You could check out two locally owned ships, the Paul Gauguin and the Aranui3. I only know the Aranui from personal experience. It is a freighter cum cruise ship and a great experience. Very relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Guided land excursions, food on board and land, wine with dinner included.
