Best way to Fiji and Vanuatu from Australia??? ;)

Hello all,

I'm in Australia at the moment but really want to take a visit to Fiji and Vanuatu (offically the World's happiest people;). Can anyone give me advice on the cheapest way to get there and where in Oz is it best to fly from to access the islands? Any other advice about these two places will be warmly recieved.

I think your best bet might be a RT ticket from AU to Vanuatu with Air Pacific, with a stopover on Fiji.

You could compare this with a RT to Fiji on Air Vanuatu with a Vila stopover, or using 3 OW tickets like AU-Vila on Virgin, Vila-Nadi on an Air Pacific Bula Fare, then Nadi-AU on Virgin again.

Much of this could be researched on the web, though for the Air Pacific fares you may need to go to a travel agent, or email Air Pacific themselves.

Sydney and Brisbane tend to be the best AU gateways to Melanesia.
