Captain Cook Resort

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Ron and I will be travelling to Tonga in July. I have booked almost all of our accommodation on-line, with one exception, Captain Cook Resort. I am aware of the uniqueness of this spot and have read some of the posts already written about Sony and his resort. I tried calling him and although I got through I was unable to make much of the call. I was told to call again when we get to Tonga. Is that the best I can hope for? I don't suppose there will be lots of other people wanting to stay at the same time. (around the end of July) Do I just wait or is there an actually way of securing a more firmer booking? Hope someone out there can advise me. Thanks.

there are a plethora of good cheap hostels in Tonga.

I suggest that you just show up. If they are full (doubt it), then there are many others to choose from. Nerima Lodge is a good one.
