Chance to visit Tikopia and Anuta

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

The new Archbishop of Melanesia is making a final visit to his current Diocese, by the church ship, Southern Cross. this includes Tikopia and Anuta.
You would need to be able to get to Lata quickly though.

From today's Solomon Star:

"Now, he’s making his final visits to the different parishes within the diocese.

He’s using the church’s vessel MV Southern Cross to travel to Reef Islands, Duffs, Vanikoro, Utupua, Tikopia and Anuta.

Rev. Vunagi said he’s leaving for Honiara on April 27"

Ozzie, am I reading this right or am I misinterpreting? Is David now the new Archbishop? If so, good for him!

Hi, Watsoff,
Here,s the Link
Let me know if it doesn't work.
I've booked a super-cheap Pacific Blue flight on 14 April tp Honiara (and Malaita) for two weeks - I want to check up on flood and wind damage.

Thanks for the link. I wonder how Mary is holding up - :)) Enjoy your trip "home," I'm sooo envious. One of these days, when my health improves, I'll be back "home" in a shot.

I might catch up with David and Mary - they are due in Honiara the day before I leave.
(David was my boss at Selwyn for 2 years, and I actually got to his consecration in Lata).

Please pass on my best wishes (and congratulations) to David and Mary if you do catch up with them. Thanks.
