Culture experience

Hello, me and my boyfriend are going to visit Vanuatu in October and we would like to stay with locals. We are thinking to visit Tanna and Espiritu Santo and the main island. We are nit interested in to stay in resorts, we eould like to experience the real life of people of Vanuatu in their villages or at least clise to it. Do you have any recommendations for us? We rather pay money to locals than big resorts ;) so if you have any tips please let me know...any type of accommodation is ok :) we know that it will prkbably be very basic :)
