Good luck Fiji, with Cyclone Daman tonight. Last I looked, it was high cat 4, with central pressure of 925 mb, & gusts to 275 kph.

Here is always the latest projection of the track. It was first expected to hit the Yasawas and Vitu Levi, but it kept on going eastwards. Next they expected it to run over Labasa on Vanua Levi, but as it looks like Daman is still on the eastward track, still not bending south and it might 'miss' Fiji altogether at last. I keep fingers crossed for them - on the other hand this might mean that it will hit Tonga later on. | 1
Thank you. It looks that most of Fiji is safe. Daman moves further eastward away from Lambasa. Have to admit that I was nervous - especially after reading that Damon is stronger than Kina has been - and that time I experienced the eye. Nothing what you want to have twice. Just hope that Damon finally keeps the predicted treck and looses strength. Keep fingers crossed. | 2

The north eastern island of Cikobia has been badly hit, houses destroyed, some people injured. People hid in caves. | 4
