Dive trip to Fiji

HI All,
I'm considering a dive trip to Fiji, can anyone give me an idea please of budget accommodation costs in Fiji as well as the cost of day diving ? I would want to get to the outer Islands too and get to some off the beaten path dive locations.

Also, how much are flights to Tonga from Fiji ? is there a domestic / local airline that does these flights or not ?

I don't know what you mean by "off the beaten path" dive locations. There's no secret about the good locations, and 'good' is usually not compatible with the off the beaten path criterion.

Thanks for that, sounds pretty pricey to me, is that world class diving in Fiji, is that a resort with some of Fiji's best diving ?

Rainbow reef, accessed from Dolphin Bay resort, is one of the best in Fiji. It's supposed to be pretty good even by international standards.

The prices quoted are in Fiji $. You'll have to convert if you're thinking in other kinds of $. Other than that, prices are what they are .. we all have our own budgets to work with. Diving, compared to other recreational sports, is on the pricy side anyway.
