Draft South Pacific Itinerary - Scuba + ExploringCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea
Hi, I am a keen diver and traveller based in Hong Kong and have a couple of weeks for a south pacific islands tour (exact timing to be confirmed but I welcome comments on the best time of year to do this). I have been to some of the islands including Fiji but wonder if anyone has any comments on the below itinerary? Am particularly interested to hear from anyone who's tried or has actually made it to Nauru or Marshall Islands. The flights seem to work fine for the below itinerary based on some skyscanner research apart from Nauru/Marshall Islands where I couldn't find any results initially but haven't investigated further yet. Day 1 - Hong Kong > Nadi > Solomon Islands (Honiara) Day 7 - Honiara > Nauru Day 9 - Nauru > Majuro (Marshall Islands) Day 12 - Majuro > Truk (Fed States of Micronesia) Day 16 - Truk > Guam Day 17 - Guam > Hong Kong Note: Thanks for taking the time to read, any comments/suggestions/alternatives very much welcome Dave Edited by: daveangel100
There are daily flights to Honiara from Brisbane, but only twice a week from Nadi. I would spend at least two weeks in Solomon Islands, to give yourself a chance to visit the Western Province, where some of the best diving is. | 1
I was at Majuro march 2012,,not much there,,only decent place to stay is ROBERT REIMERS $90. there is a dive operation near,,I chose to move on to | 2
