Driving from Darwin to Perth

My Wife and I are planning to drive from Darwin to Perth next year.

Does anyone know what is the best time of the year to do it, and what are the road conditions like?

You are on the wrong branch of TT - go to the other Australasian branch. That said, dont go in the wet season ie dec-march nad pref not oct-dec due to high humidity.
